On June 30, the first batch of N-type TOPCon cell successfully rolled off the production line of HY SOLAR Xuzhou Base, with a mass production efficiency up to 25.6%. Li Xin, member of the Party Working Committee of Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and Deputy Director of the Management Committee, Cheng Dezhi, Director of the Development and Reform Bureau and Director of the Major Project Office, Wang Ran, Deputy Director of the Major Project Office, Yang Hao, General Manager of HY SOLAR, Zhang Pengfei, Vice General Manager of Xuzhou Base and other leaders, together with department chiefs, witnessed the opening of a new era of HY SOLAR.
Mass Production Efficiency of Up to 25.6%
As a technology-intensive industry, scientific and technological innovation is the key to the PV industry. The N-type TOPCon cell project of HY SOLAR Xuzhou Base has been officially launched in February 2023. 5 months later, the first cell has been manufactured and will quickly achieve mass production. The Xuzhou Base adopts the internationally advanced automatic production line with industry-leading TOPCon passivation contact technology, and introduces a full process quality control system to achieve wafer-by-wafer tracking which could significantly improve the quality of cell products.
The mass production efficiency of HY SOLAR TOPCon cell can reach 25.6%, with the anti-PID degradation within 2%(PID 192h), and the yield can reach 98%, leading the industry. HY SOLAR adhere to our clients with high efficiency and high reliability product. At the same time, the product covers a variety of mainstream specifications, and can realize the customized production of cell thickness from 110-150um to meet the requirements of different types of modules. Relying on the advantages of upstream silicon materials and silicon wafer industry, HY SOLAR has joined hands with ecological partners in the industry chain to actively promote the process of “large size, thin wafer” for silicon wafers and cells, rapidly promote cost reduction, so as to effectively drive down the cost of electricity at the system end.

Xuzhou base crystalline silicon cell project is HY SOLAR’S first N-type TOPCon cell production plant with the scale of 16GW. Its formal commissioning could further optimize the production capacity structure of HY SOLAR and strengthen the upstream and downstream linkage advantages. It takes only 21 days from the arrival of the cell equipment to the first cell off the production line, once again demonstrating the speed of HY SOLAR.

In addition, the Phase II 10GW project of Xuzhou Base will be started and mass production will be realized as soon as possible to further expand the capacity of TOPCon high-efficiency cell. Other production bases are also under planning. In the future, the total capacity of HY SOLAR cell will break through 40GW, to realize the cost advantage of downstream modules and even the system end from the cell port, and this can also consolidate HY SOLAR’s leading position in the PV industry.
