Expansive mountainous and hilly regions, with their abundant solar resources and vast development potential, are becoming key areas in the global expansion of green energy. However, compared to flat terrains, PV projects in mountainous areas face a range of challenge—complex topography, large temperature swings, and harsh weather conditions.
Balancing economic gains with ecological sustainability is a key challenge in green development. HY SOLAR focuses on mountain PV applications, delivering more reliable and efficient solar solutions tailored to complex terrains. From product performance to technical support, our goal is to illuminate mountainous landscapes with a new wave of clean energy.
Large-format Bifacial Modules: Maximizing Solar Harvest
620W High Power / High Bifaciality / Stable Energy Output
Mountain terrain is uneven, and while sunlight is abundant, variations in surface angles and reflection conditions result in uneven irradiation and changing angles of incidence. To meet these challenges, HY SOLAR’s large-format bifacial modules deliver a larger light-receiving area and superior bifacial generation, significantly improving the capture of both direct and reflected sunlight.
The HY SOLAR 182/72 bifacial module delivers up to 620W with a bifaciality of 80–85%. Equipped with self-developed TOPCon cells and dual-sided anti-reflection coatings, these modules improve light absorption and conversion efficiency. The front glass features an anti-reflective coating that reduces reflection loss and increases light transmittance, while the rear side adopts a gap film process that enhances secondary light reflection and minimizes backside shading—surpassing traditional enamel and mesh processes in mechanical load capacity.
The HT Series’ superior mechanical strength and durability ensure stable performance in extreme mountain conditions—heat, wind, snow—providing long-term energy output and optimized generation for customers.
Excellent Low-Light Response: Stable Output in Low Irradiance
High Low-light Sensitivity / Multi-busbar Half-cut Design / Low Temperature Coefficient
Mountain climates are often unstable, with frequent low-light conditions due to clouds, fog, and variable topography. HY SOLAR’s HT Series, built on TOPCon cell technology, is engineered for such environments with lower internal resistance, higher minority carrier lifetimes, and superior open-circuit voltage—enabling effective energy conversion even under irradiance as low as 600W/m² in mornings and evenings.
With a low temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C, the modules offer improved power stability in regions with wide day-night temperature fluctuations.
Furthermore, the combination of multi-busbar (SMBB) and half-cell architecture improves current collection while reducing resistance loss, helping mitigate the effects of dynamic shading and minimizing hot spot risks. This synergistic design ensures consistent green power output—even in the complex lighting conditions of mountainous terrain.
Reinforced Structure: Built to Withstand Harsh Conditions
Robust Structure / Dual-lock Mounting / High Compression Resistance
To address the frequent threats of strong winds, snow loads, heavy rain, and hail in mountain regions, HY SOLAR has enhanced both the structural design and mounting methodology of its modules.
Structurally, module frames have been optimized with added hook-shaped features at the clamp contact points to increase friction and suppress torsional deformation under rear-side pressure—strengthening overall system stability.
The mounting design features a dual-lock mechanism—bolt hole fixation combined with pressure clamps—to add additional stress distribution points and reduce the risk of structural failure. Additionally, HY SOLAR recommends using enlarged and thickened washers to increase frame contact area and minimize deformation during installation, ensuring stronger connections at the source.
These dual enhancements—design and installation—enable HY SOLAR’s bifacial modules to operate safely and efficiently in extreme mountain environments.
Backed by high-efficiency bifacial modules, excellent low-light response, and robust structural design, HY SOLAR offers a full-scenario, all-weather solution tailored for mountainous PV installations. As the world accelerates its green transition, HY SOLAR will continue to drive technological innovation, expand its solutions across complex terrains, and deliver greater long-term value and returns to its customers.
