HY SOLAR N-Type Modules Receive High Ratings in pv magazine test

  • Recently, pv magazine released the test results for HY SOLAR HT series 72pcs bifacial TOPCon modules. These tests includes visual inspection, Electroluminescence (EL), and also evaluate low-irradiance performance, temperature coefficient, PID, and bifaciality of modules. The result turns out that the modules of HY SOLAR demonstrated excellent performance. With a comprehensive score of 91 points, they received a high rating of five stars "VERY GOOD" in the pv magazine test, providing authoritative certification for the outstanding performance of HY SOLAR N-Type TOPCon products!

    To ensure the representativeness of the test results, CEA randomly sampled 5 modules from the mass-produced HT bifacial 72pcs modules of HY SOLAR and transported them to Gsola’s lab for testing. The entire testing process adopted the testing protocol and flowchart, scoring system that developed by CEA, ensuring the authenticity and validity of the test results.

    The 5 HT bifacial 72pcs modules being tested exhibited no defects in appearance and EL testing. According to CEA testing standards, they received a high score of 100 points in both tests. The outstanding performance is also benefit from the stringent quality control system adopted in the module production line of HY SOLAR. For instance, the EL test is conducted three times in total: before lamination, after lamination, and during the final inspection. Through these thorough examinations, imperceptible issues such as cracks, broken gridlines, and dark cells are all exposed, ensuring a robust guarantee for the high-performance quality of the module products of HY SOLAR.


    Temperature coefficient -0.29%/℃!

    The temperature coefficient of modules of HY SOLAR, as tested by pv magazine, is -0.29%/℃, surpassing the industry's similar modules with a normal parameter between -0.3 to -0.35%/℃. The final score is 101 points, demonstrating outstanding high-temperature resistance performance that far exceeds expectations!

    A lower temperature coefficient means that under the same external conditions, the average operating temperature of HY SOLAR HT modules is lower than that of similar modules, resulting in lower heat losses. Especially in the afternoon when the sunlight is strong and temperatures is high, the power output of modules is significantly affected by temperature. Due to the lower temperature coefficient and lower operating temperature, HT modules of HY SOLAR can generate more power output compared with similar modules.


    PID Testing

    In this test, the HT modules of HY SOLAR showed a degradation of 0.19%, well below the IEC standard test criteria of 5%. This outstanding reliability performance resulted in a near-perfect score of 97 points!

    The excellent anti PID (Potential-Induced Degradation) performance of HY SOLAR is not only derived from the inherent advantages of their TOPCon technology route but also from the newly adopted PECVD poly deposition technology, SE technology, and multi-layer dielectric film structure technology in the high-quality cell production process carried out by HY SOLAR. These technologies significantly enhance the anti-PID and power generation performance of the products, empowering the high-energy modules of HY SOLAR.






    HT series bifacial 72pcs TOPCon modules produced by HY SOLAR have an output power up to 585W and efficiency up to 22.64%. These modules are suitable for various scenarios such as commercial and industrial rooftops, as well as large-scale solar power plants. They combine outstanding performance and high reliability, providing customers with efficient and clean energy solutions. Previously, the N-type modules of HY SOLAR also obtained TÜV Rheinland IEC 61215:2021/IEC 61730:2023 photovoltaic module certification, and these certifications from different associations have validated the excellent performance of the module products of HY SOLAR. They stand as the "choice of quality" to ensure the reliability of systems in different scenarios!
