First Batch of HY SOALR 16GW N-TOPCon Module Launched

On August 2, the first batch of HY SOLAR 16GW N-type TOPCon PV module of Jiangyin Base was successfully launched. Xu Feng, Member of Standing Committee of CPC Wuxi Committee and Secretary of Jiangyin Municipal Party Committee, and other leaders jointly unveiled the first N-type TOPCon module with Yang Hao, General Manager of HY SOLAR. Members of Jiangyin Civil Admin Dept, Lingang Development Zone and core members of HY SOLAR management team jointly witnessed the key step of further integration strategy of the entire photovoltaic industrial chain of HY SOLAR.

Ultra-efficient module manufactured by HY SOLAR

The first launched module product of HY SOLAR Jiangyin Base of HT series--N-type 182 TOPCon cell 72 pcs bifacial module, focusing on large-size specifications. The product adopts SMBB & half-cell technology, non-destructive cutting technology as well as high density cells encapsulating technology to shorten the spacing between cells, deeply optimize the layout design and increase the effective power generation area. The product has excellent performance, with higher bifaciality, lower temperature coefficient and improved low irradiance performance . The maximum output of the module product can reach 585W and the efficiency can reach 22.64%,  leading the same type of modules in the industry. Its application scenarios can cover large power station projects and various “PV+” scenarios, effectively realize higher power generation and lower LCOE at the system end, meeting the demands of high-efficiency and high-output modules in the market.

HY SOLAR Jiangyin Base has more than 30 processes of a single production line, and all key processes have been automated, with the automation coverage rate up to 94%. The design of production line is based on the principles including safety, stability, automation, intelligence, high efficiency and low consumption, finally realizing the automatic and intelligent integrated production workshop with strong safety, high production capacity, low energy consumption and excellent compatibility. The production line can realize the one-key switching flexible function among different module types, and has the advantages of high levels of stability, automation and output but lower cost.

Future of HY SOLAR N Era

The ability to rapidly respond to technological changes and the ability of independent innovation are the keys to the eternal vitality of photovoltaic enterprises. 2022 is the first year of N-type TOPCon, and an increasing number of enterprises are paying attention to TOPCon modules due to their more excellent performance and more significant potential for cost reduction. HY SOLAR had foreseen the industrialization trend and technological advancement of this technology route, and resolutely carried out the integrated industrial layout.

In 2022, HY SOLAR invested in the construction of a total of 492,000 square meters of plant in Lingang Development Zone of Jiangyin, Wuxi, with two phases, three plants and 20 fully automatic production lines. RMB 5 billion had been invested into 16GW N-type TOPCon module in Phase I, and the commencement ceremony was started on January 1, 2023, with the construction being officially commenced on March 31. Plant No. 1(covering an area of 50,000㎡, floor space of 100,000㎡ and 7 production lines) was capped on June 8, and the floor was completed on June 10. The Plant No. 2 and No. 3 were capped in early July and it took only over a hundred days from the commencement to the completion of the construction. The launch operation was successfully completed on time, showing “HY SOLAR Efficiency” and “Jiangyin Speed”. Phase II 16GW high-efficiency N-type module production line has been started. In the future, the industrial chain advantage will be formed through scale effect, logistics agglomeration and industrial interaction, and the strategic layout of in-depth vertical integration of HY SOLAR will be further implemented.
